The biggest threats to synthetic tennis court surfaces are moss and algae, which grow in the moisture and create a slippery film – this is particularly prevalent when the court is wholly or partially surrounded by trees. Not even brand new courts are invincible, meaning that all tennis court surfaces require regular maintenance to keep play unimpeded.

Surfaces can be treated with a twice annual brushing, keeping the area free of moss and algae.
